Founder and Owner of JLX Sport | Professional Athlete | Economic Growth Leader for Family Businesses
About Me
I was born on January 25, 1991, in Düsseldorf, Germany. My father has German roots that trace back to Nordic Europe from the 1780s, while my mother hails from Croatia. This rich tapestry of heritage has shaped my identity and perspectives.
I have worked in traditionally male-dominated fields throughout my career. I began in sales at Hitachi Construction Machinery in Tokyo, Japan, focusing on the construction and mining sectors from 2012 to 2015. From 2016 to 2021, I held a Sales Manager position at Thyssenkrupp, specializing in engineering and manufacturing in the Gulf Region, followed by a role in France from 2023 to 2024. Additionally, I spent two years as a Sales Manager at Nordcloud, an IBM company, in Helsinki between 2020 and 2022.

I also worked as Finance Manager at Miele AG in the home appliance industry, where I encountered traditional gender role barriers that limited my advancement from 2016 to 2020. I have held a 30% stake in my father's finance office since February 2011, and he proposed that I take on the CFO role to address these challenges. I worked at these organizations at separate times, with the aim of building a strong foundation of career knowledge.

Currently, I own a very competitive outdoor and sporting goods company in the German market with a significant market share that sells outdoor clothing and sporting goods, along with fitness supplements, equipment, and machines for homes and studios.

I have advanced knowledge in global economics, financial risk management, global investments, and sociology. I have moderate knowledge in psychology and anthropology. My native language is German and I speak 9 other foreign languages. I speak fluent English, Japanese, Chinese, and French. I translate 250 pages per month for people. I am currently learning Croatian and Spanish.

I am a professional athlete and have won a total of 44 medals since 2002. My sponsors are Puma in Taekwondo, Adidas in running, and Speedo in swimming. I want to conclude my professional sports career with a total of 60 to 65 medals.

Since February 2011, I have served as a partner and CFO, holding a 30% stake in my father’s company. This role has significantly contributed to my wealth, which now exceeds 10 million euros. I founded JLX Sport and JLX Supplements in Düsseldorf, and in 2024, I launched a pizza franchise in Fenerbahçe, Kadıköy. Currently, I am collaborating with various family businesses located in Germany, Croatia, Japan, and France. This year, I will open a branch of JLX Sport and JLX Supplements in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.

Starting in December 2025, I will launch my new alternative company, JLX Fitness, in our Düsseldorf and Paris branches. JLX Fitness will provide a comprehensive range of fitness machines, tools, and equipment designed for both home users and fitness studios. Our focus is on delivering high-quality products that address the diverse needs of our customers, ensuring they have the resources to effectively achieve their fitness goals. We aim to establish JLX Fitness as a reputable provider in the fitness equipment markets of Germany and France.

I have been married to my childhood friend since January 2022. She is currently the coach of the French national team and owns a sports complex in Paris, which features three large swimming pools, a spacious fitness center, and facilities for football, basketball, volleyball, and tennis across three different zones. Our marriage is supportive, and my JLX branches collaborate with her sports complex.

I place great value on personal development and live for my work. I am known for my commitment to social issues, such as gender equality, climate change, and a bit of children's rights. I am social-democratic/liberal and have progressive views in life.

In March 2024, I was appointed as the leader in economic growth for our family businesses across Germany, Croatia, Japan, and France. This role was awarded to me due to my extensive expertise in global economics, finance, international sales, family dynamics, and cultural awareness.

We operate across various sectors, including outdoor and sporting goods, fitness supplements, sports complexes, finance, insurance, franchising, technology and the restaurant industry, with a presence in Germany, Croatia, France, Japan, and Turkey.

In 2025, we are set to expand into the food sector through franchising in Istanbul and Paris, with the objective of establishing a total of ten franchises in both countries this year. This expansion reflects our commitment to diversifying our offerings and tapping into the vibrant food markets in these key cities.

I am also building a luxurious sports complex on my land in Nordrhein-Westfalen for my wife Juliette, starting in April 2025. The complex will comprise four distinct zones and will feature three swimming pools, including an Olympic swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, soccer fields, volleyball zones, and a spacious fitness center. Additionally, there will be a dedicated floor for aerobic and spinning classes, providing a comprehensive fitness experience.

We are also opening finance and insurance offices in Le Havre, Bordeaux, and Lyon, bringing the total to eight offices, including those we already have in Paris. This expansion aims to enhance our service offerings and reach a broader clientele in the finance and insurance sectors.

My hobbies are traveling, marine aquariums (I have a 1000-liter marine reef aquarium in Kirchhörde, Dortmund), and gardening.
